Your award winning destination for great home made food all prepared and created with love
We strive to source and buy all our ingredients from the local area wherever possible.
All the meat is bred on local farms, the free range eggs are collected daily from Oldcotes and delivered as fresh as possible, the fish we serve on a Friday is from Doncaster Fish Market and caught at Filey. All the salad ingredients and potatoes are from a Lincolnshire farm.
As you can see we really care about our food; where it has come from and how it tastes, so that you get the very best in every dish created by Stuart and his team.
Enjoy our delicious menu serving Breakfast, Lunch, Afternoon Tea & Cakes. Everything is homemade on the premises We have a large selection of hot & cold drinks also draught lager, bottled ale, wine & Prosecco.
Absolutely GORGEOUS afternoon tea at Garden Room. Book us in for the next one!
Fantastic food and service. Always a friendly smile. We are regular customers, would definitely recommend. Good for full meal or just coffee and homemade cake. Would suggest you try the fish and chips on a friday (just save me some). Keep you eye out for themed evenings & afternoon tea. Booking only as the afternoon tea’s and themed evenings are very popular. Also had my hen do champagne breakfast here and really went out of there way to help.
We live in the next village along from Braithwell & the Garden Room is a favourite destination for a walk on a Saturday morning. In a lovely setting both inside & outside it quirky with a relaxed atmosphere where you can enjoy a coffee with brunch or a cold glass of white wine with a sandwich whilst watching the world go by. The staff are always friendly & even at the busiest of times service is good. I love the breakfast menu, especially the scrambled egg with bacon but can also recommend the majority of the sandwiches (we visit regularly) and the homemade chips are worth trying. We’ve taken visitors along & sat outside in the sun with a bottle of Pinot Grigio on a Saturday afternoon & it’s now a firm favourite. A great find & definitely worth a visit if you passing through South Yorkshire.
On our way to North Yorkshire Dales from the Midlands I looked on Trip Advisor for a good lunch stop. I found good reviews for the Garden Room. Having had a fabulous lunch with very friendly service I can now join in agreeing with those excellent reviews. When travelling North again we will definitely use this as a stopover again. We rang ahead and booked as there were 6 of us which turned out to be a good idea.
Record numbers out for the club run this morning, thanks everyone. Great coffee and service at @GardenRoomltd too!
Sunday lunch always a treat @GardenRoomltd
If visiting with friends, partner, or with the kids, you will not fail to be impressed. One of my favourite places to eat, or just for a leisurely coffee, with the difficult to resist home made cakes a must. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and the food excellent. Some reviews on Trip Advisor mention price, you get what you pay for, and i have no complaints at all. Thoroughly recommended !
During the Summer its a great place to visit. We mostly take friends there who live out of the area, because we can rely on well presented and great food. We have never been disappointed and the chips are ‘to die for’ 🙂 My New Years resolution was to eat less chips…what am I going to do now?? I can recommend anyone to The Garden Room at anytime, staff are welcoming and efficient. It does get busy and it can be conversationally noisy, but the atmosphere is buzzing.
No matter if I’m with my mates on our bikes, or with the wife and kids, this little gem never fails to impress. Very friendly staff, great food and value for money. The burgers are as good as any I’ve had anywhere else, but for me the Fish & Chips = perfection on a plate.
It is so refreshing to visit somewhere that is a bit different. The Garden Room seems to attract a broad cross section of clientele and a good number of regulars. Service is friendly and helpful, the menu is a good mix of contemporary and traditional, well presented and tasty. A gem of a place. Visited October 2013
